At our church we are trying to be intentional about reaching the Gen X and Y women. The obvious starting place is finding a grounded young leader with a heart for ministry (Go Becka!). While we do offer 'gatherings' just for this nitche - monthly coffee, discussion and general craziness with an occasional weekend away - we also try to draw them in to multi-generational things. We have several Bible studies led by Gen X women who intentionally invite their peers, but also are open to others who wish to attend. I think the blend is healthy for everyone involved.
What ideas or needs to you see to building into the lives of our "X" and "Y''s????

I think the biggest challenge is convincing young women to come. In this Age group, myself included, our lives are so consumed with business. The biggest hurdle is getting a young women to attend something "new" (not already in her schedule), but if she comes once, she is hocked.
This does require intentional steps on the leaders part. I introduce newbies to women with common interests, give the lowdown on other upcoming events, and make time for a coffee date within the next two weeks. Simple steps, but in my experience huge for retention.
I also greatly appreciate the "older" women who intentionally get to know the young women and invest spiritual truths in our lives. Without this support network our ministry would fall flat. This unique element draws women back again and again.
How can I help? I love intergenerational women's ministry. Sometimes, it's easy to fall into the "comparison" trap with peers, but I love to hear stories of older women's walk of faith, and I enjoy sharing what God has done in my life with others. I think personal stories of our faith walks are a huge blessing and encouragement.
